So you've got a Travelgenix solution...


Now it's time to put you in the driving seat, to generate your first booking through our platform as quickly as possible.


The way Travelgenix customers approach this is unique to each business, but this list will serve as a helpful guide to get you started with your new platform.

Access the platforms


You've either purchased a travel technology package or a travel technology + website package. In both cases, you will need to obtain your credentials from Travelgenix to access Travelify, which is our mid-office system where you manage everything about your travel booking platform.


Customers that have a website included as part of their package will need to obtain their website CMS (Content Management System) credentials from Travelgenix too - see below for more information on your website CMS.


 


Configure application/website settings


Within Travelify, you need to configure the settings for your application, to ensure everything your customers see is consistent with your brand, such as your booking confirmation emails. This section also includes some important settings to control how your travel booking flow works, so be sure to check out the guide on this section to cover all the important aspects.


 


Configure your suppliers and connections to third-party platforms


Within Travelify, you can connect third party suppliers that will provide all of the travel products that you sell online, along with connections to marketing and CRM providers. Access our full list of suppliers in the Supplier Directory in your Travelify account - we also provide contact details/website links if you need to set up an account.


 


Set up pricing rules


Once your suppliers have been connected, you need to set up your pricing rules, to ensure you add a mark up to the product prices you're getting from the suppliers directly. You may wish to consider setting up one basic pricing rule first, to launch quickly, and then create more granular pricing rules later.


 


Configure deposit rules


After you have added your suppliers and configured pricing rules, you have the option to activate and configure deposit rules within Travelify. This controls if/when/how website visitors can pay a deposit or instalment payments for their purchases. This is not essential for launch, and can be set up later.


 


Add your team members


You may have other people that help you run your business. You will want to create roles within Travelify that are appropriate for each member of staff, so they only access the tools that they need to do their job. You can then create accounts and invite team members to log in.


 


Review booking journey and facilitate a test booking


If you've purchased a travel technology package, you will need to add the booking flow widgets to your website. If you've purchased a travel technology + website package, then these widgets will have been added to your website as part of the build.


You should search all product types on your website through to the payment page, to ensure everything looks and works as expected. You may need to translate the widget copy before you add the widgets to your website. You may wish to complete a test booking on a low value, refundable product, to understand the processes involved within the Order Manager when a booking is made.


 


Manage Your Website


If you have purchased a website from us, you will be given access to our full CMS management platform. You can access your website manager via this link (link to edit your website is also available in your Travelify account menu). Be sure you visit the website CMS help centre for articles and guides on how to manage most aspects of your website, including video tutorials to make managing your website a breeze.


 


Drive traffic


Speed is a core value at Travelgenix and we believe the sooner you can drive traffic to generate your first booking through our platform, the sooner you will see a return on your investment. Driving traffic and optimising your business around that is far more effective, than trying to make everything perfect before you launch.
